What to Expect

Visiting a new church can feel a little unfamiliar, so we want to make your first visit as easy as possible. At Rexmont Church, you can expect a friendly congregation, a relaxed atmosphere, music that includes both hymns and contemporary worship songs, and a message rooted in the Bible and connected to everyday life. You are welcome to come as you are, take things at your own pace, and simply get to know us. Our hope is that from the moment you arrive, you will feel comfortable, welcomed, and glad you came.

Service Times

Sunday School runs from 9:30-10:30. We currently have two Sunday School classes.  The Adult Sunday School class meets in the Sanctuary.  The Children's Sunday School class meets in the Fellowship Hall.

Worship Service runs from 10:45-12:00 in the Sanctuary.

Parking and Entrance

The driveway is to the left of the building from Rexmont Road and parking is behind the church. Most people then come in the door along the driveway directly into the Fellowship Hall. This entrance is handicap accessible into the Fellowship Hall.

On the other side of the building is another sidewalk leading to doors that are also handicap accessible, one into the Fellowship Hall and one into the front of the Sanctuary.

There are 4 steps inside the building from the Fellowship Hall into the front of the Sanctuary.

There is also a front entrance to the building directly from Rexmont Road that brings you to the back of the Sanctuary. This entrance is not handicap accessible.

Dress Code

You do not need to dress a certain way, know all the songs, or have everything figured out before you come. We want you to feel welcome, comfortable, and free to simply join us as we worship, learn, and grow together. Pastor Dan dresses in business casual with a tie, but usually he's the only one wearing a tie.

What Happens When You Arrive

Until the service begins, Pastor Dan will be in the Fellowship Hall to welcome you, get you a cup of coffee if you’d like, and show you around. He'll take you into the Sanctuary, give you a bulletin, and introduce you to a couple of the members of the congregation.

If the service has already started, you may choose to either go down the few steps from the Fellowship Hall into the front of the Sanctuary or go in the front entrance off Rexmont Road which will take you into the back of the Sanctuary.

Children

Children of all ages are always welcome at Rexmont.

Babies and Toddlers - Parents with small children are more than welcome to sit in the Prayer Room during Sunday School and the Worship Service.  That room is open to the sanctuary and has some couches and comfortable chairs.  There's also a pack-and-play set up if you want to use it.

Children - During the Worship Service, Pre-K through 5th grade are encouraged to sit in the Sanctuary with their parents until right after the offering is collected and right before Pastor Dan's sermon.  An announcement is given allowing the children to leave the Sanctuary and go to the Fellowship Hall for Children's Church, where they will get a bible lesson geared more to their age.

Middle School and High School - Teenagers are encouraged to sit in the sanctuary throughout the Worship Service.  Every other week, there is a Youth Church that meets the same time as Children's Church, with teens leaving the Sanctuary after the offering and before the sermon.  An announcement will be given so they will know when to leave the service.

Bathrooms

There are two sets of bathrooms at Rexmont Church.  The first set is right inside the doors of the Fellowship Hall across from the kitchen entrance.  The second set is at the back of the sanctuary on either side of the front door entrance.
